Rekindle Connection Through Qoya Movement
A Series of Four Weekly In-Person Qoya Classes
Sunday May 22, May 29, June 5, and June 12 from 3pm-5pm CST
Qoya is based upon the simple idea that through movement, we remember. We remember that our essence as human beings is WISE, WILD, and FREE. Wise, wild, and free reference the different movement forms that we practice in Qoya.
WISE for the wisdom traditions of yoga and contemplative practice.
WILD for the creative expression inherent in dance.
FREE for the freedom of feminine sensual movement and being able to choose what feels good in your body.
In this four-week series (you can come to a single class or register for the entire series), we will dance our relationship to connection. Connection to Self, to Wild Nature, to Community, and to our own Emergence.
After the last two years, where many have felt disconnected and isolated, this class series is offered as an invitation to rekindle and reweave the threads of connection that may have become a bit unraveled.
5/22, 3-5pm CST – Connection to Self
5/29, 3-5pm CST – Connection to Wild Nature
6/5, 3-5pm CST – Connection to Community
6/12, 3-5pm CST – Connection to your Emergence
Qoya is movement as medicine. Movement as metaphor. On the surface, Qoya is a combination of dance movement, feminine movement, and yoga, but really it is a portal to help you reconnect to your essence and come back home to yourself.
Unlike other dance classes, there is no way to do Qoya wrong. It doesn’t matter what it looks like to you or anyone else; what matters is how it FEELS in your body. This is why we dance Qoya without mirrors.
In Qoya, we say, “Come as you are and leave as even more of who you are!”.
This is class is open to all who identify as women.
About Your Facilitators
Linda Katz is a wild feminine life coach, writer, and certified Qoya movement teacher who has been teaching Qoya since 2017. Qoya is what FINALLY helped Linda to climb down out of her head and back into her body and this is why she loves sharing this practice with others.
Vicky Bryan is a circle facilitator, homeschooling mama, and a certified Qoya movement teacher. Qoya created the container that enabled Vicky to truly feel. It gave her the courage to embody her truest and most authentic self (still in progress), and she considers it a great privilege to hold that space for others.
